The Share and Act Phases
We are finally at the end of our project! With all of the data and visualizations that we have gathered and enhanced, we are now ready for the final two phases of data analysis: the Share phase and the Act phase.
The Share phase is where you share your findings with the stakeholders who are interested. This can be as simple as forwarding them a dashboard or PowerPoint file. Usually, our findings are shared through a presentation made directly to the stakeholders.
In the Cyclistic scenario, we would make this presentation to the marketing team at Cyclistic. In the context of this project, this phase will merely consist of me posting a PowerPoint of my analysis on this page. A link will be provided at the end.
The Act phase is the follow up work that comes after we have shared our findings. In a business like Cyclistic, this can mean anything from answering questions coworkers might have about your analysis, or even collecting and analyzing the data that was generated from other departments acting on your suggestions.
Since I’m actually doing this project for the Google Data Analytics Course, the Act phase would be this entire endeavor: putting a site together to host this project and any projects I might have in the future.
Thanks for sticking with me on this journey! It was definitely a learning process for me, and helped to reinforce the lessons I learned from my course. The main goal here was to have a project to show off what I’ve learned, but I also hope that the posts I’ve made here can help others on their own journey towards becoming data analyists.
I may post a video recording of me doing a presentation of my findings for this project. For now, here is a link that you can use to download the PowerPoint presentation:
